Statement

My work is born from a sense of discomfort: the feeling of being disconnected from nature and, at the same time, from my own body. I work from that place of tension, exploring how cultural systems—patriarchy, capitalism, and urban life—shape our perception of the natural, the feminine, and the instinctive. Through painting, sculpture, and tattooing, I develop images where the female body merges with, resists, or transforms in relation to its environment. I am interested in representing non-hegemonic bodies, vulnerable yet powerful; bodies that escape domestication and approach the wild as a form of freedom. My practice is deeply influenced by ecofeminism, understanding the connection between the exploitation of nature and the oppression of feminized bodies. At this crossroads, questions about belonging, identity, and memory emerge: what does it mean to return to nature when we have been historically separated from it? Water, earth, animals, and landscapes function as symbols of transformation, loss, and resistance. In them, I project both contemporary anxiety and the possibility of reconnection. My work does not seek to provide answers, but to open spaces for reflection on how we inhabit our bodies and the world.
